Rene Howitt is a child and education advocate in Missouri. She is the founder of COPE24, a nonprofit organization that teaches life, parenting, and social-emotional skills to students in schools throughout the country. She is also a recently termed-out member of the Missouri Task Force on Children's Justice and of the Missouri Critical Event Review Committee. We talk about new approaches to educating kids and her journey from volunteer to national nonprofit director.
